The following post contains
spoilers for the new, currently airing seasons of mentioned shows.
Nothing major I think, and no specific details, but spoilers nonetheless.
Throw me to Norway for 1,5 weeks in a popculture conference (I feel so old, more of that later this week) and by the end of the stay I have reacquainted myself with the mentioned western crime shows.
Oh dear

Have a look at the heroes (and some heroines).

I am very sure though, that after a few months I'm complaining that "these series seem to drag on and on forever, why can't they be like jdramas and have shorter seasons

"
In the meantime, I have to say that these four are the only western series I've really watched at all after...
Keen Eddie, which was in 2003, (brilliant) and only 13 episodes long
NCIS has been one of the very best throughout the years; except that last season (season six, that is) almost ruined it completely by making a major part of the characters (Gibbs, Ziva, McGee) really repulsive

To my (extremely pleasant!

) surprise, season seven seems to be going to a better direction.
...so who cares that Ziva committed treason, betrayed the US as well as the team...? Yeah, let's just get her back to working for the national intelligence and even make her an official agent in a few weeks...

*shakes head*
Michael Weatherly's Anthony DiNozzo kept me watching the dull season six, and he's again doing amazing job in this new one as well
Bones has been nothing if not stable; Booth and Brennan fight crimes, their friendship develops and they would rather hit themselves with red bricks than acknowledge the UST between them.
The disappointment that was last season's finale kind of served for the better now that we have seen that the coma dream worked as a catalyst for the pointedly ignored emotions

As annoying as it is to have witnessed everyone who have been trying to push the partners romantically together for the last four years now take a different stance...

Enjoyable
Numb3rs is the one that has changed the most during its run. For this season, not only are Charlie and Amita finally getting married, but also Don has clearly moved away from the action.
This means that the "field work" (aka shooting in highly crowded areas etc...

) is mainly done by Colby (who has become, seriously, extremely attractive!

) and David.
Don's parts of the show have been reduced. A LOT. Instead we do get some more 'brothers moments', which I am fine with.
I need to mention Colby again. It's been a while since I've wanted to jump a show character
Mentalist was last year's major debut success.
Especially when my interest in NCIS was going down, it was easy to get hooked to the complicated mess that is Patrick Jane.
Confession: If I had to deal with anyone with his ego in real life... just...no

It was very rational to have the RJ-case taken away from the team, but it came as a surprise since I would've thought the writers didn't want to make that happen. Plus points!
It's progressing nicely, and I'm delighted to notice how the relationships within the team are coming more to the focus.
The main reason why I've adored shows like NCIS, Bones, Numb3rs is because they do not only focus on the crimes, but also on chemistry and relations(hips) between the characters.
Pleasant and intriguing
